80's chick!

This is a really random, off the wall topic that I am writing about - me being an 80's chick! This past weekend, I dug out a bunch of old pictures of me from the beginning to now, Ray and I all the way back to our beginning, my grandparents, my parents, etc. I just LOVE looking at pictures, especially old ones! They either make me recall a good memory and/or they just give me a good feeling. I found myself laughing at some of those old pictures! I think back to the 80's and how much I enjoyed styles/fads - hairstyles and clothing styles. I remember wearing blue mascara when I was in junior high! That is just hilarious! Of course, I laugh my ass off when I think of those things now. I can't believe those things were so "rad"! One thing I still love about the 80's is the music! How can you not bust a move when you hear that dance beat with the synthesizers and keyboards?! Ahhh, I just LOVE it! I have an awesome 80's CD collection called "Omigod! the 80's Pop Culture Box (totally)"! It is so awesome! I've played those CDs so much that some skip now! They are great!

What are some of your 80's favorites?!

My favorite 80's group is N.K.O.T.B. (for you party poopers, that stands for NEW KIDS...on the block, that is!) I was a HUGE fan! Today, I found a picture of myself I thought I'd share with you...

I know it isn't easy to see, but I have on a pink New Kids sweatshirt, 2 small New Kids buttons, 1 huge button pinned on my jeans, and New Kids earrings on! Isn't that funny?! Oh yeah, and last but not least, I have my 80's hairdo going! :)

My favorite 80's female singer was probably Tiffany! My favorite song was "I Think We're Alone Now"! Today, my favorite song by her to turn up full blast and scream to is "Could've Been"! After Tiffany, I loved Debbie Gibson, Belinda Carlisle, Kylie Minogue, and Pebbles!

My favorite 80's love song was "One More Try" by Timmy T.

My current favorite 80's feel good song is "Sailing" by Christopher Cross.

The 80's song I can most relate to nowadays is "9 to 5" by Dolly Parton.

And my favorite 80's movie is "Dirty Dancing". I could do without Penny and her issues...but Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Gray's dancing was so awesome!

I will close this odd ball blog entry with another picture! You'll get a kick out of this one!

I can't believe I was stylish wearing that hair, that glittered animal print shirt with a belt, and painted jeans! I don't know what was up with the loafers with no socks! :)

Mom,

What do you mean "little girl"?! I was at least 10 years old! :) Cute? Not really, but I'll take the compliment! Hip? Yes, I was hip at that time! :)
