Hilarious!

Yesterday, I made some yummy cherry jello, which I love for snacking. My new thing is to put it in separate containers for snacks, rather than in a large bowl I have to dip out of. I found a few plastic cups but needed another. When I opened the cabinet, I decided a coffee cup would work just as well. Since it was my first time dipping jello from a mixing bowl and putting it into glasses, I didn’t do such a good job. I cleaned up my mess…or so I thought.

This morning, I decided that jello sounded like a delicious brunch. So, I opened the fridge and went to pickup the closest serving of jello – in the coffee cup. The problem is that I couldn’t pick it up! It was stuck to the refrigerator shelf! I tried and tried . It was like those coffee mugs in those commercials that are stuck with denture adhesive! Laughing, I said, “Baby, I need your help!” Sounding afraid, he said, “What’s wrong, baby?” Laughing, I said, “Um…the cup of jello in the fridge is stuck to the shelf. I can’t get it up”. He said, “TISH, is it one of my FAVORITE coffee mugs?!” Laughing harder, I said, “Yeah…” He said, “Oh, Tish…I told you not to use that mug”. He came into the kitchen and tried to lift the mug himself. Of course, it wouldn’t come up. He said, “Man, Tish!” I couldn’t stop giggling and said, “I’m sorry!” Then I suggested we get some hot water and pour it all over the shelf. I was thinking some would seep under the cup to free it. He must not have liked that idea because he got a butter knife out of the drawer. After working at it for a little bit, he got it up! Well, it seems that I just didn’t spill jello on the counter yesterday…I spilled it on the cup too! Obviously, it ran down the cup and to the bottom forming a sticky seal! :)

Funny! I have to admit, I thought you were going to say you found Yoshi licking the kitchen cabinet or something! :)
