This is our first sonogram! The dark circle in the center is the amnionic fluid, and the dot between the 2 crosses within the fluid is our tiny bundle of joy! This snapshot was taken at 8 weeks and 5 days. Our boy/girl was about a size of a bean, 1/2"-3/4" in length. The most amazing thing was watching the heartbeat. Because "bean" was so small, the heart was basically a dot, but "blinking" like you wouldn't believe! Does that mean we are gonna have a hot-blooded child!!!?? :-)

Yes, it is his/her first little photograph! He/she was SO tiny. From what we're reading they are bigger now. I think the latest comparison we read was a strawberry! I can't wait until our next photo session to get a better view of him/her! Yes, lift is beautiful and we feel so fortunate to be experiencing this miracle. :) Ray and I have been "Mom" and "Dad" for years...for about 6 years (that is when we got Daisy)! But now, we'll be Mom and Dad to a human baby! It is so exciting! :)
