Very often, Ray and I try to do our weekly grocery shopping on Saturday or Sunday morning. Because the afternoons/evenings (especially Sundays) are horribly crowded! I can’t stand so many people blocking the aisles, bad parents not watching their kids, etc! Anyway, we went to Super Wal-Mart this Sunday morning. But there was ONE thing we needed that they didn’t have. So, we stopped at Albertson’s on our way back home. Ray offered to run inside to get it while I waited in the car. That sounded good to me! I sat in the car and listened to the radio for a few minutes. Then, I see my husband come walking out of the store with a bag (obviously containing that one item we needed) and something else. If it were just an extra bag, I wouldn’t think much of it because we are pretty guilty of picking up extra things we see. But this wasn’t a bag! It was something HUGE! When he got closer, I saw that it was practically the biggest package of toilet paper you can buy! I started laughing. He smiled as he passed me. When he opened the back door to load it, I said, “Was that a bonus buy or something?!” He smiled again and told me all of it is for me! When he got in the car, I said, “For me huh?” He said, “Yep! You go through a ton of toilet paper nowadays!” That is one thing I couldn’t argue about because it is definitely true…Baby Tse’s fault, of course! ;)
I said, “So, was it a great price or something?” He said, “Yeah! Well, I just so happened to walk down the toilet paper aisle. On it, they had a bunch of those automated coupon machines. I pulled a few coupons for us to use later. And then when I got to the front of the store, I saw a bunch of Cottonelle toilet paper in buggies on sale – for $4! I decided to get one. When I was at the self-checkout, I thought about the coupons I just pulled! One was for Cottonelle. I didn’t think it would work, but it did! It was for $1 off! So, I got that for just $3!!!” I said, “You’re kidding! NO WAY! That is awesome! You can’t even get a 4 pack of Cottonelle for that!” He smiled, sat there for a second, and said, “Want to get more?!” I said, “Hell yeah! I DO use a LOT of toilet paper nowadays!” We went back inside, gathered a few more coupons, and each bought another big pack!” I kept telling Ray how embarrassed I was! I can carry feminine products through the store without thinking twice, but carrying all that toilet paper made me blush! :)
But when all was said and done, we got away with 60 DOUBLE rolls of Cottonelle for…Are you ready for this?!….9 DOLLARS!!!!! What a deal huh?! Ray has joked that it is a lifetime supply! But with me being pregnant and having to make bathroom trips countless times a day, I will be thankful if it lasts through the rest of this year! It was a such a great deal though! We were/are so excited! Here are a few pics of our find! :)
Ray showing off his newfound talent! :)

Where will we store all this toilet paper in our not so large house, you ask? Oh, I don’t know. We have been talking about busting the packages open and building a toilet paper pyramid on our coffee table to show off the results of our most recent bargain shopping! :)

Great shoppers! Speaking of baby Tse, good practice for when you are trying to find bargins for all those disposable diapers you'll be buying! :)
