Day One

Today was the first day of my journey at WDG architecture. I got to meet everyone at the firm briefly, a quick tour of where everything is, filled out paperwork, etc. I found out that we have "flex time" work hours. That means as long as I am there during the core hours of 9:30 to 4:30pm, I can choose my hours. So what I have decided on is 7:30-4:30pm. This will be extra convienient when comes to setting up OB appointments in the future. A few cool things I found out about my role at WDG today:

1. I got a new title - Project Architect (comes with a bunch of responsibilities, will be a good & welcome challenge)
2. I will be heading a 21 story tower here in Dallas (something I can watch going up easily)
3. I get free valet parking daily
4. I have great office with a window! See pic below!

The tall building in the background is Chase Tower, one of the taller and more notable buildings in Downtown Dallas. One time years ago, a guy tried to fly through the hole (right under neath the curve top piece) with his small plane!

Overall, not a bad start. Things are looking up and I feel blessed.
