Mine and Ray's 1st Easter together! :)

I went digging in our photo albums again! I just love doing that! I was in search of more Easter pictures! I found 2 pictures from mine and Ray’s very first Easter together as a couple! This photo is of the eggs my mom and I decorated.


When I first met Ray, we quickly realized how much we have in common! But one difference is that I am a white girl and Ray is Chinese! I bet no one else besides us has ever noticed that! ;) The other major difference between he and I that I found to be a HUGE problem is the fact that I was a candy lover the the MAX and Ray was not! : I understand the value in not eating candy. For one, you have less cavities! But I always tried to tell Ray that not only is candy tasty, but it is FUN! It isn’t just a cool something – eating it is a cool experience! Ray fought me tooth and nail on this issue! He wasn’t much of a fruit eater even, but he did like it more than candy! He was more of a vegetable eater! Determined to put an Easter basket together him on our first Easter together, I decided to give him fruits since he resisted candy SO MUCH. I wasn’t about to fill his basket with cabbage, carrots, and other boring stuff like that! On Easter morning, I put his basket right in front of his face and woke him up! And incase you are wondering, YES, Ray was sleeping at MY house, in MY bed our first Easter together – which was less than a year after we met! If anyone out there is appalled, GET OVER IT! Ray is my husband – has been for FIVE years! :) Anyway, this picture was taken the second he woke up! Notice that he doesn’t look to thrilled! I know part of that was because he wasn’t and still isn’t a morning person. Also, I don’t think he ever woke up to a basket in his face like that! And finally, I’m sure that waking up to a basket full of fruit is NOT that exciting! In my opinion, if you could do a 'rewind' and wake Ray up to a basket full of chocolate and fun candies, the result would’ve been much better! But hey, what do I know?! I’m just a happy white girl with about 15 fillings and 2 crowns in my mouth! :)

P.S. In Ray's defense, he is MUCH cooler now! He still doesn't love candy HEART and SOUL, but he does like it and is willing to eat it with me sometimes! ;)
