Call and Comment time!

I keep finding interesting, funny, cool, etc stuff to blog about! And here is another! I am from Denham Springs, Louisiana. The local newspaper there is called the Livingston Parish News. Every now and then, I log on to their website (yeah, them having a website IS pretty amazing, isn't it?!) to read the Call and Comment section. It is a section of the paper where people can call in and give their two cents on any topic. They type up what you say and put in the newspaper and on the website - word for word. I think the only rule is not to use curse words. You can even call in anonymously - which is what most people do, especially those that slam a local politician or something! :) Well, these are my favorites from today! ENJOY!


“I'm glad to know that someone other than me questions our mosquito spraying program. Why drive down roads and spray in the air when we have sewage water and weeds miles high? What about all these man-made ponds that breed mosquitoes? I think I need to spend my $30 on cans of Off.”

“This is to the lady who cursed me out with profanity at the door of my truck on the morning of April 23 at the Walker Wal-Mart parking lot. Did you forget that the parking lot has surveillance cameras? What kind of example were you setting for your child? You should really consider some counseling for anger management.”

“This is to the person who warned the ladies of the Lakes at Fennwood Subdivision in Walker. Keeping your husbands in at night won't necessarily fix your problem. I'm a victim of a husband stealer who happens to live in your subdivision. I don't know if it is the same woman, but my husband stealer is married with a child. She claimed to be my friend and works with my husband. How's that for security? You can never be too sure.”
