Today, my friend/coworker and I started talking about babies. This happens often because she is 7 months pregnant! I LOVE talking about babies (even though they are not in our near future PEOPLE)! ;) I talk about Anne and Greg’s little girl, Rachel, a lot. Even though I have only met her once, I feel like I know her from corresponding with Anne via email pretty often and checking her blog daily! She is a doll - too cute for words! I also get into baby news – everything from Discovery Health shows about babies (i.e., Birth Day Live) and even celebrity births!
Anyway, Gina has met Ray once so she knows he is Chinese. And she sees my whiter than white self every day! Today, she said, “I can’t wait to see you and Ray’s babies! They are going to be so precious!” I said, “Yeah, I hope so!!!!” The cool thing about Ray and I is that we balance pretty well. What I lack, he has and vice versa. Screw hoping for a kid with the perfect hair or Jolly Green Giant height. If we can say our child is well balanced, I will be happy.
What Gina said about mine and Ray’s future child exited my mind (or I thought it did). During my lunch break, I got online to check out the news on Yahoo. On the most emailed page, I ran across the picture below that I saw a few weeks ago. I all of the sudden remembered what I told Ray when I showed it to him. I said, “Ray, this is what our kid is gonna look like!”
Can’t you just see our little precious little hellion hanging upside down and our faces looking as defeated but proud as this monkey mommy/daddy?!
