Hobbes is the hoot! Pretty much every time you say, “Time to go, Hobbes”, he comes. But as soon as you shut his kennel door, he starts spinning and growling (making a fuss in a playful way). We usually playfully tell him to calm his little self down, and he does. A few months ago, after I put him in his kennel, he made a fuss and I told him to calm down as I usually do. He listened. A few minutes later, I see him rebelling by rooting under his pillows and blankets and tossing them into the air! When he realized I was on to his fit throwing, he stopped. The pillow landed on his head, and he left it resting there as he gave me this wide-eyed look! Fighting back a laugh, I made him get out of his kennel. I straightened his pillows and blankets, put him back in there, and told him not to do that anymore.
So, today, I tell everyone it is “time to go”. Everyone did as they should. Hobbes did his little spinning and growling routine when I put him in there, but that happens every single day. I walked away and started gathering clothes to be washed. A few minutes later, I pass the kennels and see this!

Yes, that is our sweet, little Mya copying her boyfriend’s bad habits!
Incase you don’t believe what you’re seeing, here is a close-up!
I said, “MYA! What are you doing?! Are you being bad?! You know Hobbes gets in trouble for that!”
Just like Hobbes does, she stopped throwing her fit and let the pillow land on her head! And her signature response to getting trouble is hanging her head.

Hobbes’ apartment is above hers. So, while sitting on the floor in front of Mya’s Place, I looked up and said, “Hobbes! You taught your girlfriend some bad habits!!!!” He gave me this cute, blank stare.

I said, “Hobbes, it was you that taught Mya how to throw a fit like this, wasn’t it?” Notice he can’t even look at me. It was as if he was saying, “No, Mom. I have no idea where Mya learned how to do that!!!” :)
