Week 20 – HALFWAY THERE!

This Sunday makes Week 20 – the big halfway mark! While I’m very excited to meet Baby Tse, I’m really enjoying being pregnant! He has 20 more weeks to be contained. He has more growing to do. It just feels so good to be out of my first trimester (the highest risk trimester) with the days passing. I expect that he’ll be a full-term baby (or at least I hope he will be), but incase he has other plans; we want him to be as developed as possible.

As far as moving, Baby Tse has been doing a lot more! It definitely doesn’t feel like a butterfly or even butterflieS anymore! I guess it feels like popcorn at times. But it has come to feel more like a little alien in there! I always tell Ray that I wonder what he’s doing (trying to get comfortable, stretching, kicking, punching, or what)! With a big smile, my mom says, “He’s in there playing!” And Aunt Diana thinks he’s dancing! We’re probably all right from time to time because he moves a good bit! :) What’s funny is that I’ve noticed he’s most active from about 10 to 11:30 am and 10 to 11:30 pm.

From my Week 20 email: POP! Your belly button may pop out and stay that way until delivery as your uterus presses upwards.

My comment: I’m popping! Well, at the top I am! :) I’m think I’ll have a complete outie by the time February 17th comes!

From my Week 20 email: Some people will have trouble breathing as their lungs become cramped with the internal organs. This will usually continue until the baby "drops" or engages into the pelvis. In a first pregnancy this will generally occur 4-6 weeks before your birth.

My comment: Breathing is already different…that is for sure. Thank gosh it is getting cool outside. That should help.

From Week 20 email: There is a trade off once the baby "drops." You will have to urinate more frequently, hard to believe, eh?

My comment:

Chinese saying: Women carrying baby boys will have pop out belly button. It sounds right.
