today

Today has been a great day. Tish woke me up with a special homemade breakfast. Nothing fancy (bacon-eggs-toast) but just to my liking. It was delicious and hit the spot. I wish she didn't have to sacrifice her own breakfast for mine though (she wanted a fresh bagel but didn't have time to get one). After the wonderful breakfast, Tish went right into cleaning! She cleaned, washed clothes, pciked up, and much more. That woman was on a mission! We lounged around the house rest of the day. It was fun and relaxing. For dinner, she had decided to make one of my favorite meals she cook - Fettuccini Alfredo. Another awesome meal! The pasta was AL-DAN-TE and the sauce was perfect. I made a caesar salad that complimented her masterpiece.
After supper, Tish journaled while I started to watch the MAVS (Dallas Mavericks Basketball). I was wearing my new MAVS t-shirt that she had gotten me as a father's day present (how sweet!). Unfortunately, my dear MAVS lost to Miami once again in overtime by 1. I was dejected. I think this one just might be over.

I screamed and banged around after the game. I even took a shower. My frustration felt 10 times better when I looked at my sweet wife and my children's faces. A game is just a game. At the end of the day, my family is ALWAYS what brings me endless joy. I will noy let a little bit of rain ruin my oasis. See that rainbow? I do!
