What a day!!!!

I woke up feeling good this morning. But when I came to work, my good mood started fading. Actually, it started fading when my coworker, “Dottie”, came in. Today is the first day she has actually done any work to speak of. The most she ever does is make a few phone calls. Anyway, she was frustrated the entire day because she didn’t understand how to do something, because she couldn’t find something, etc. And she whines! I feel like I sit next to a 12 year old girl!!!! In about a 3 hour span, she yelled (in a whiney voice), “I HATE MY LIFE!!!!” at least 3 times!!! A little later, she said, “I HATE THIS!!!!!!” Then, within a few seconds, she walked out of her cubicle (with a very red face and poked out lips) into our boss’ office and said, “I don’t know how to drag this box!!!!” My boss said, “What’s wrong?” She said, “I’m working on the Ad Grid, and I don’t know how to drag this box!!!!” My boss sent my other coworker, Gina (who is going on maternity leave any day now), to help her.

Oh I can’t forget to mention that “Dottie” sent something to the color printer today. When she got there to pick it up (we all share printers), she saw that someone else was printing a job. She waited for about 2 sheets to come out before she started cursing under her breath. She could tell who the job belonged to because of what it was. She yelled at that person (who is about 3 cubicles down) to ask them just how big their job was. He walked over and told her it was almost finished printing. She said, “NEVER MIND! I can just print my job on the black and white printer!!!!!” Since that guy had to get some stuff printed for our creative agency and “Dottie” said she didn’t need the color printer, he sent another job. “Dottie” resent her job to the color printer – only to walk over and discover that it was not printing. She said, “I thought you were finished!” He said, “I just have this one thing to print. Then, I will be completely finished”. She walked away with a red face and said, “NEVER MIND!!!! NEVER MIND!!!!”

The woman just stresses me out!!!! She is an annoyance to everyone! Did I blog about the time she was yelling that her computer is stupid and “never works right”. When my coworker, Grant, walked over to help her (so she would shut up), he discovered that her monitor was not on!!!

It has been quite a day, I tell ya! I cannot wait until 5:30!!!! Calgon, take me away!!!!

While writing this blog, I remembered this picture that I got in an email a while back. The caption was "For difficult people".

Okay, there is a followup story to this blog entry! All of the sudden, I see "Dottie" fly out of her cubicle to the color printer (again). Obviously, what she is looking for is not there (our printer takes a while to get warmed up enough to print big jobs). She flew back to her cubicle (again with a red face) - mumbling something. That same guy who was printing earlier walked over to the printer and said, "Hey Dottie! Your job is printing!" She said, "I DON'T CARE!!! IT DOESN'T MATTER ANYMORE!!! I'VE MOVED ON!!!!"

Wouldn't it be nice if people like that really did move on - really far away! I do hope she doesn't have children! A spouse can just leave. People like that definitely should not have children or pets!
