Ray and Yoshi :-|~

Not a day passes that Ray and I don’t discuss Yoshi. I tell Ray that it is very sweet that he and Yoshi have such a wonderful relationship, but that it is also borderline disgusting. Then, Ray tries like hell to convince me that Yoshi DOES love me…(Yeah, okay).

This morning, I was feeling extra spunky (everyone gets in those moods sometimes)! So, when Yoshi was sitting on the dining room window ledge staring out at the wind and rain, I thought it would be funny to sneak up on him. (You must understand that I KNOW Yoshi hates me. So there is no fear that me doing these crazy things will ruin our relationship or anything)! I tiptoed behind him and as loud as I could, I bellowed out “I Need You” by LeAnn Rimes! I know you’ve heard the song…

Oh yes I do

And for those of you who have not heard me sing, I am not that great at it. And when I try to sing horribly, I can make my voice sound worse than it usually does! ;)

Yoshi jerked his head around to show me his squinted eyes and pinned back ears. He was so pissed off! I kept singing just to push his buttons! Finally, my laughter forced me to stop singing! He continued staring straight through me until I walked away! I have no doubt that if I would’ve gotten near him, he would’ve slapped me.

Ray was amused by the whole thing and said, “Tish, I don’t know why he hates you! I guess he is just an asshole sometimes, but he LOVES me. WATCH.” By this time, Yoshi had turned back around to stare out the window and curse me some more. Before I tell you what happened, let me tell you that Ray is a great singer! If being an Architect or a Chef doesn’t work out, he should go join a boy band! But even though Ray has a wonderful voice, he can throw it to make it sound annoying just like anyone else. So, Ray tiptoes behind Yoshi and starts singing “I’M AN ASSHOLE” by Dennis Leary in that loud annoying voice. Again, Yoshi turns around. But this time, he turned around slower and much more peacefully. It was like Yoshi was hearing angels singing from above! (He had no idea Ray was singing that song about HIM...or if he did, he didn't care because it was DAD singing it to him)! Ray kept bellowing, “I’M AN ASSHOLE!!” over and over as he got closer and closer to Yoshi. And what I’m about to tell you next will either make you wet your pants or make you throw up! As Ray got closer to Yoshi, he started bending down towards him to give him a kiss on the head. Yoshi closed his eyes and started rising up to meet Ray halfway (as if he were being lifted to receive a blessing from an angel).
