I know this is a random blog. When I clicked on an MSNBC headline about this subject, I couldn't resist blogging about it.
The following is the information I got when I clicked on an interesting headline:
The Body Odd 34: Dangerous dreamer
June 14: I hit my partner when I sleep. How do I stop tossing and turning?
Apparently, there is this show called "The Body Odd". On it, they address odd medical questions. Tonight's show is about "strange sleep tales" - sleepwalkers, individuals who wack their partner while they are sleeping, etc.
When I was young, I had a friend whose older cousin was a known sleepwalker. He was known to get up and walk out of their house at night! They had to get several locks that required keys and keep the location of the keys a secret. To me, that is just plain creepy. I don't know much about sleepwalkers, to be honest. I do find the whole sleepwalking thing interesting. HOWEVER, not enough to study up on it. In my opinion, sleepwalking is kinda like what the mystery of UFOs and aliens is to some people. I don't know, and I don't want to know. I just don't want one staying in my house. :
Anyway! What inspired me to do blog on this subject is the 'wacking your partner while you're sleeping' part. I had this friend whose father repeatedly dreamed his wife was on fire! She would wake up by being wacked on the head over and over with a pillow! Is that not the weirdest thing? Maybe I'm sick, but I think it is hilarious! :) For the record, her dad was pretty odd. But don't you wonder why fire? And in his dream, why do you think he would take matters into his own hands by trying to "beat" out the fire on his wife rather than strip her of her clothes, yell out for help, call 911, or just throw her on the ground and start rolling her?! ;)
Deep thoughts by Tish...thank you very much, thank you very much....and to all a good night.

I remember sleeping over with you at your house and Kim was there. We all were sleeping in your bed. Me on one side, you (tish) were in the middle, and kim was on the other side. Randomly in the middle of the night you sat straight up and said "Kim & Le, Knock it out. Stop figting and just go to bed!" Then you laid down and went back to sleep. Kim and I popped our heads up and looked at each other, shrugged and went back to bed..... Bet you don't remember that sleep story! Love ya - Le
I didn't remember that story until I read it just now! How funny! :) Yeah, I used to talk in my sleep a good bit. I don't think I do it as often anymore...and if I do, no one would know because Ray sleeps through almost anything! ;) Maybe I thought you and Kim were fighting over me?! ;) Ha-ha! Just kidding! :) We must have been 3 skinny minis to have all fit in my double bed, huh?! :)
(on second thought)...okay, so I
"straight up", but were my eyes open?
Yeap, straight up. It was the funniest thing, but I honestly remember Kim and I getting along. I bet it is when we had all gone to see the three guys who were all friends that we were dating at the time.
LE
That IS funny! It was probably when we were dating those guys...and what a waste of time that was, huh (dating them)?! ;)
