What an interesting Sunday...

It was quite an interesting Sunday. A few very different events happened so I will break it down into 3 short stories.

Smooth Criminal
Sunday turned out to be a busy day so Tish and I decided to split up the tasks/errands. I went to get a haircut and Tish went to pick up groceries. Well when we got home, Tish suddenly exclaimed, "opps...". I asked her what's wrong, and she replied, "I guess I stole this...". She held up this deoderant bar and continued, "I thought it was free. It said free sample on the dang box...". I checked out the box and surely it had "free sample" written on it. Only that it was indicating the tiny travel size bar attached was the free sample!!!

Tish turned red and started to crack up. I booked her into our at-home jail (see mugshots below) and told her not to ever do it again. Bail was made and onto our evening date we went.

J.E.
Our Sunday evening date was a surprise planned by Tish. She had bought tickets a few days ago and told me that they were non-refundable. We got to the theatre at around 7pm. The theatre was a VERY cool building that was built around the 50-60's. Tish brought me to see a play called "Joe Egg". It is a play done by Peter Nicholis (British) and has been brought onto Broadway recently. The set was done beautifully. The actors/charactors in the play were all excellent. Joe Egg had a little bit of everything... inspiration, laugher, sadness, history, and drama. It has been a long time since we have seen a play and we enjoyed it tremendously.

Burnt Cookies

When we came home, Tish was craving for dessert but she was also ready for bed. So she put the cookie dough we had purchased earlier into the oven quickly and set the timer. Next thing you know, we smelled them burning! Tish pulled them out in a hurry and started to "flick" the cookies off the hot cookie pan. "Gotta get them off NOW!" she screamed. I layed some wax paper on top of the washer (located in the kitchen) in a panic to recieve the cookies. Tish and I got them out so fast that several of them had fell between the kitchen cabinets and the washer. As I went to grab the fallen burnt dough, they literally melted in my hands! They were soaking wet! Mind boggled at this point, I shined a flash light down the gap. "Uh-oh!", I shouted. There has been a leak from our washer from the last load we washed to form a small puddle on the floor! The fun never stops! First it was the fridge going out around Thanksgiving, and now a leak!! I mopped up the water, and felt my hands around the wall behind it. Some parts of the wall was very damp and had begun to decay. I think there is a clog in the drain pipe to cause an over-float... The joy of house ownership huh?

**There was a mistake made on the links section (now fixed). "Tish's ideal employment" was linked to the Best Friend's gift shop page. Tish would like to clarify that she has no desire to work for their gift shop. :) Sorry for the confusion and all the damage(s) that it might have caused.
