Doctor’s orders

I had a good evening with Ray and a pretty decent night of sleep. However, I felt exhausted from being sick the day before and needed rest. So, I decided to stay home. Besides, the thought of me sitting at my desk all day is as bad, if not worse than sitting on the throne all afternoon like I did the day before! To make sure I’m not terminal (and to get an excuse for work), I made a doctor appointment. The good news is that I just had a bug or something. The orders I got were to eat better (guess that means I should stop eating a Little Debbie Cake for breakfast every morning), to get more sleep (no complaints there), and to exercise (exercise? I don’t think I’ve done that since high school P.E. class!). BUT, if doing these things will improve the way I feel, I’ll work on making those changes. I will start off small – maybe walking the dogs…no, just ONE dog! THAT sounds reasonable! And it will be Daisy, our 50lb hunk of love, since she is best on a leash! Hobbes, our 12lb baby, is hell on a leash! After I master Daisy, I can move on to Mya…and then to Hobbes. Eventually, I will do something much bigger – like an exercise tape or something! I used to do those things, but I am TWENTY SEVEN years old now! For those of you who do great things like lift weights, run in marathons, or swim 50 laps every day, that is awesome! I admire your dedication to your mind and body. I won’t drink alcohol or smoke a cigarette, but two things I REFUSE to stop doing are: risk killing myself by pushing myself to physical limits and cursing like a sailor! :)
